I'm taking it easy at the farmhouse today. After all the chaos yesterday, I just want a quiet day with nothing to worry about.
Our beetroot and onions are coming along well in the farmhouse kitchen garden.
Luckily, there is not much weeding to do this weekend. I’m also happy to see that our beans have grown all the way to the top of the canes.
The potatoes are growing really well, and we've mostly finished harvesting the area we set aside for seeds. Next, I'm planning to put in a raised garden for spinach and herbs.
We haven't been able to muck out the poly tunnel because the tractor isn't working.
I decided to snap a few photos of our farmhouse front garden.
Charlie spotted newts in our garden pond again this year.
I sent this video to someone from the conservation team at Scottish Borders Council because I’m worried about the development happening next door.
I’ve really enjoyed teaching Charlie how to use my bridge camera and sharing my love of photography with him. This is one of his first photos, and I think he has a real talent for it.
