Borthwick Water has overflowed, flooding the fields. Since it’s the first of the month, I wanted to write a blog post. Wolfcleuch Waterfall was off limits today, so I took some photos on my way back to Woodburn instead.
While I take pictures, Charlie plays Magic Kingdom on his phone.
Our new truck works better for farming than the Freelander, but I do miss the electric seats. The heated front wind shield was nice, too. We also found a smaller waterfall, which is actually my favourite one in the Borthwick valley.
When I was at Craik Forest, I didn’t notice my camera lens was smeared, so the photos didn’t turn out well enough to share. Later, Charlie sliced the fruitcake I had baked for him.
I didn’t make a fuss about baking him the cake, but I was excited to see how it looked inside. I thought I might have finally gotten it just right.
