Earlier this afternoon, Charlie invited me to visit his workplace. He was turning silage today.
I sat, waited in his tractor.
Whilst he tended to the welfare of Limousin cows.
Visiting vets used the farm's crusher, a machine that holds the cow still during exams and treatment.
The vet examined the cow by reaching inside and found that, apart from some swelling, there was only a blood blister.
Today, I spent time turning silage for winter feed and checking on the cows’ health. Still, most of the focus right now is on harvesting the crops.
