Wolfcleuch Waterfall

This morning I walked through the farmhouse garden. At first, there did not seem to be much to look at, but the few flowers here are truly beautiful.

We treated the sheep in our paddock for fluke as a precaution, as a young lamb had died of fluke at one of our grass keeps. The older ewes seem resilient, but we treated them too.

Most of Charlie's sheep are scattered across three grassy fields. In a few days, only the lambs will be grazing in the hillside paddock next to our farmhouse.

We initially attempted to administer the wormer in small doses using a drench gun, but this only dispensed air. We then switched to a syringe tube to ensure the sheep received their medication.

Charlie was the first to float through the woodland stream and encountered no difficulties.

We arrived at Wolfcleuch waterfall today. Last week, we were unable to reach it because we had no way to cross the burn.

While I was removing dock leaves from the farmhouse paddock with an electric strimmer, my cade lambs approached me.

Cooked toad-in-the-hole for Charlie's tea.

I opened the gate and turned on the lights in the poly tunnel for the sheep. They were spooked around 9:30pm, just a few hours after I posted about the cade lambs visiting me. Charlie thinks a fighter jet flew over, but even an hour later, the sheep are still in the poly tunnel and not chewing their cud. Oh well.
