Grey Mare's Tail

We took a drive to the Grey Mares Tail water falls, along the way, after requesting patience I took some pictures of the icy waters.

Icy river running through a snowy borders field.

The prevalent wind blew hardness as the chill clung to my cheeks. The winding footpath up to the falls was narrow and subsided.

Two people were with a drone at the falls, one was wearing a bright red jacket, thus I had to wait some time before I could get a good picture of the falls.

We passed a monument remembering Ettrick shepherd, poet and writer James Hogg.

And arrived at Megget Water.

The Coburn tower is underneath the reservoir, in ruins.

Read a Megget water information board.

The light quickly evaporated as we returned to where we came from.
